just came back from sun tropical for the second time,hotel was fine rooms cleaned nearly every day,food was ok entertainment team worked really hard and done some good shows,staff are all friendly and polite,lotsof swimming pools.around 10 mins from playa blanca town if you ask at reception for a key to the back gate its a short cut into the town,great resort will definately return.

only fault i can say is there could be more little bars round the pools as if your not sitting around the main pool or round near the restaurant you have to go to those bars to get a drink although its not miles away i like to be able to lounge round the pool without having to keep putting clothes over my swimwear just to fetch a drink.other thing was no newspapers sold in shop so had to walk in town if you wanted a paper,other than that great place

Just got back after a week at the Sun Tropical. Hotel was brill. Much bigger than expected. All rooms in small culdesacs with either a small pool or play area. There was also a very large pool with slides and pool bar. For the time of year pool area very quiet and weather rained at some point of the day, every day, but the entertainment staff realy tried there hardest. Went in the pool only once,it was absolutely freezing i bet they could have bred seals in there!!!! Entertainment staff were lovely and always had time for a chat and remembered your name which was nice.Rooms immaculately clean, maid service 5 x weekly. Food ok, breakfast very good, lunch and dinner a bit random but always hot.You could also use the pizzeria and tapas restaurant (prebookable) Tuesday and Friday, well worth booking. Evening entertainment was very good, it was held in the Tavern and The Dome on alternate nights, The Tavern looked like it needed a face lift and a bit dreary but was ok, The Dome a bit cold but i imagine in the summer it would be nice. Overall myself and mum went for a nice relaxing week and thats what we got. Would definately go again.

I had booked to stay in the Sun Tropical for a nice cheap get away break in January which I booked with Thomas cook. After reading vey bad reviews I was really tempted to change it but thought no i do like to make my own mind up . So that is what I did, I was very impressed, the pool is massive where the day time activities takes place with a nice pool bar area to sit, but if you prefer a bit quieter then the pool by the accomadation is fine and not far to go to the bar and you have 8 pools to choose from .It was very clean and the maid came in 5 days out of 7. We stayed all inclusive and the food was delicious lots of different salad and fruit every meal, Fish, beef, pork and chicken to choose from plenty of rice, pasta, chips or potatoes and a very good selection of 4 veg and the Lager and wine was help yourself on tap for lunch and dinner. All in all it was a lovely place and we are looking to go back in April. The reps were really friendly and put on some nice shows it is what you make it and we took part and had a great time. It is a really nice hotel for the price we paid. Great value with Thomas cook.

Just got back from a relaxing week at the sun tropical.It is Immaculately clean as are the rooms. Being January it was very quiet and most times there was only us around the big pool.There are so many smaller pools scattered around the complex. We did go for a swim as the temperatures were around 88 degrees[ apparantly it was the hottest Dec/Jan for 52 years] but the water was cold!!!. Abdu was a really nice barman at the pool bar. Reps try their hardest to entertain but there are so few people about its quite hard for them. There were daily Quizzes and killer darts and keep fit in the pool.There is a large entertainment area called the Dome it was too quiet when we were there but i dare say it does get quite busy in the main season. There is a bar you can go to but the interior is so dreary and dull! The restaurant is quite large but for the size of the complex i wonder how it accomodates all later in the year.We were all inclusive and found Plenty of variety for breakfast and midday meals evening meals were a bit repetative but always served hot. Tables were soon cleared and replaced with clean tablecloths and cutlery. One day we did go to the Everyone in this hotel is very friendly from reception staff to the cleaners. We did get a taxi for 3 eoros .down to playa blanca as the hotel is quite away from the shops. There is curtesy bus from the hotel but we always seemed to miss the timing. All in all we had a superb holiday, first time to Lanzarote and loved it ! will definately be booking again for next year.

Just back from the sun tropical in playa blanca. The complex is fantastic and so clean, but the lack of entertainment really let it down. There was one bar that was open, which was dull and depressing and the dome is a complete joke, its freezing cold in there. and old fashioned. There are several swimming pools dotted around and the gardens are very well kept. We stayed allinclusive and the food was lovely. The place is also a good 15 minutes walk from the centre with nothing outside the complex till you reach the sea front. Playa blanca its self is a lovely resort. On the whole sun tropical is a great and very clean place to stay, but the lack of things to do in the evening has made us decide never to go again.

Originally booked Sun Island (A mirror of Sun Tropical all same complex) were told we were staying at Sun Tropical when the receptionist booked us in. Quick chek in, we were given a map and the reeptionist drew on the path we needed to follow to find our room and indicated where the restaurant and snack bar was. We found our room quite easily. The layout of the two hotels is identical as are the room numbers and locations as we discovered when we thought we were locked out of our room when we were infact trying to enter the same room number on Sun Island complex - Use the picture next to your room to avoid this. HOTEL & STAFF - This complex is brilliant and the cleanliness is outstanding for its size. Not a day passed where I didn't see the maintenance and groundsmen cleaning and tending to the gardens. Our room was brilliantly clean and the maids came everyday and mopped made beds and replaced towels - I am unsure what kind of people would expect a maid to do their dishes? The staff in the restaurant were all quick to clear tables and assist with any queries despite the rudeness of some guests. They were all friendly and work really hard. There was one particular barman who usually served in the Dome who was really rude and was rarely behind the bar even when people were waiting to be served but he was an exception. The Dome is really cold so I'd advise jackets and cardi's for the evening if you are going to make the most of the entertainment that is on offer. The pools were great and as it was so quiet during our stay we had a small pool to ourselves everyday, they are however really really cold. FOOD - The food is probably the hotels biggest let down. It was edible and we didn't go hungry but noting really had any particular taste and I felt the kids section was a bit of a waste of food as it was just a smaller version of the main buffet. It would be better used to just have pizza and kiddie type foods here. Maybe in peek times it does serve a purpose. ENTERTAINMENT - Our stay coincided with a brand new team of Thomas Cook Reps. and they were really friendly and tried their best to please all guests despite how quiet it was. The Kids world girls were really friendly and our daughter especially liked Jenny. Even though she did not go to kids club all of the reps still made a fuss of her and she really enjoyed her holiday. Dizzy was a big hit. LOCATION - The location is great only a fifteen minute walk to Papagayo beach ( to the right when using the back gate) and there are plenty of cafe's and shops down there. If you want to go to the Rubicon Marina this is a good half hour walk to the left of Sun Tropical.

Recientemente estube en el complejo y me he venido con muy buen sabor de boca. Desde el excelente trato del personal hasta la variedad de comida, incluso podias comer carne recien hecha al momento. Los horarios del restaurante MUY AMPLIOS y eso es digno de destacar (pues normalmente están enfocados a los extranjeros) La ubicación muy tranquila pero ya se sabe, en Lanzarote (o en cualquier parte) se debe alquilar un coche si quieres ver la isla con tranquilidad y a tu rollo. Yo estoy encantada y volveré en cuanto pueda, pues la temperatura y la manera de vivir en Lanzarote me ha cautivado.

Das Hotel verfügt über mehrere kleine und einen großen Pool. Das Essensbuffet war gut, manchmal jedoch etwas fad. Leider ist das Hotel 1,5 bis ca. 2 Kilometer vom ständig überfüllten Hauptstrand "Playa Dorada" entfernt. Die Zimmer sind groß mit einer kleinen Kitchenette und großen Betten. Klimaanalage ist vorhanden. Leider sind die Wege im Hotel mit schwarzem Asphalt belegt, im Mai also schon recht heiß.

Volví el jueves pasado y ya lo echo de menos. El complejo era fantástico: había muchísima comida, seguro que (a menos que seas muy quisquilloso) habría algo que fuese de tu gusto. Lo teníamos todo incluido y, tras leer las críticas, nos sentimos un poco inquietos, pero no tuvimos ningún problema. A los críos les encantaron las palomitas y los helados. ¡A mi maridito y a mi padre les gustaron los licores! La única queja es que las piscinas son solo de una profundidad y muy hondas para mis niños, pero pudieron utilizarlas. Playa Blanca es preciosa. El alcohol y los cigarrillos son muy baratos. Fuimos de excursión submarina: fantástica, la relación calidad-precio era excelente. El personal de mantenimiento se esforzó mucho por mantener el apartamento limpio y ordenado, así que bravo por ellos. Volveremos seguro.

Nos costo a 30 euros/noche solo alojamiento. El apartamento pequeño, fresco y bien equipado. En recepción fueron correctos, sin problemas. Atendieron muy rapido cuando reclamamos por una bombilla fundida y un fallo en el telefono. Un diez en este sentido. El complejo es estupendo para disfrutarlo con niños. Hay bastantes piscinas, jacuzzis, tobogabes, etc. Ademas hay espectaculos, animaciones y muchas mas cosas. Los jardines muy bonitos y relativamente bien cuidados aunque insisto en que notamos falta de personal suficiente. Sobre la comida no opinamos ya que no utilizamos los comedores o restaurantes del complejo. Creo que repetiriamos siempre por mas o menos ese precio.

La limpieza podria hacerse mejor. Tambien se debería mejorar el mantenimiento de armarios, puertas y alguna cosa mas. Creo que esto es achacable a que no hay demasiado personal.

Wir sind am 8. September nach 10 Nächten All Inclusive zurückgekehrt und muss einfach schreiben, wie fantastisch es war. Wir waren eine große Gruppe: 10 Leute, 4 Familien und dann trafen wir noch nette Leute. Hallo Shazza, Ste, Elaine und die kleine Ellie. Unsere Zimmer lagen im Erdgeschoss des Kiwi-Block. Aber erst später. An der Rezeption wurden wir erst aufgeteilt und bekamen dann ein paar Tage später die anderen Zimmer, weil wir uns beschwert hatten. Wir fanden den Block am Besten. Der Pool war super. Der große Pool war hinter uns und der Dome einen kurzen Fußweg entfernt. Super Lage. Das Essen war einfach klasse. Sogar für die heikelsten Kinder gibt es ausreichend zur Auswahl. Für die Erwachsenen auch. Einmal in der Woche kann man italienisch oder Tacos essen. Es gibt immer etwas zu trinken. Der Kokosrum mit Ananas war herrlich. Wir haben viel getrunken (haha). Die Kinder bekamen einfach, was sie wollten. Eis, Pommes, Burger, Schinken-Käse-Toast: all das gibt es bei der Hühnchen-Bude. Die Club-Sandwiches sind super zum Mittagessen. Was besseres gibt's nicht. Man kann tagsüber und spätabends immer hingehen. Die letzte macht um 23 Uhr zu. Dadurch hat man Zeit, in Ruhe etwas zu trinken oder zum Dome zu gehen und dem Unterhaltungsprogramm zu lauschen. Sehr kitschig (haha). Aber Sie arbeiten sehr hart. Eine Warnung!! Wenn die Fliesen an den Pools nass sind, werden sie SEHR rutschig. Es sind wie ich viele hingefallen. Das muss wirklich angesprochen werden. Es gibt viele Pools zur Auswahl. Die Handtücher wurden leider auf die Liegen gelegt. Wenn wir nicht mitgemacht hätte, hätten wir keinen Platz bekommen. Der große Pool bietet viele Liegen, wenn man aber beim eigenen Block bleiben will, sollte man die Handtücher auslegen. Wir mieteten uns einen Wagen. Die anderen Leute in der Gruppe blieben im Hotel. Es war billiger, für 3 Tage einen Wagen zu mieten. Machen Sie auch die Ausflüge mit, die First Choice bietet. Berge, Höhlen, usw. Kaufen Sie sich eine gute Straßenkarte. Die Straßen waren sehr gut ausgeschildert. Deshalb fanden wir alles und sparten uns ein Vermögen. Unser Urlaub war einer der besten, die wir je gemacht haben. Die Leute waren sehr freundlich. Die Rezeptionisten sind erstklassig und mein Mann war von Filli in der Hühnchen-Bude begeistert (haha)! Ach ja, bringen Sie für die Kinder keine Luftmatratzen mit. Wir ließen unsere da und andere machten das Gleiche. Danke an das Paar mit den zwei Jungs, die uns die Eimer usw. gaben. Wir haben sie weitergegeben. Ja, die Pools sind kalt, aber wenn man eine Weile drin war, merkt man es nicht mehr. Es hat unsere Kinder nicht davon abgehalten, jeden Tag darin zu spielen! Die Zimmer sind angemessen. Man ist nicht oft drin. Sie werden an den meisten Tagen gereinigt. Die Handtücher werden täglich gewechselt. Es gibt eine Menge Platz im Kleiderschrank. Die Kinderbetten sind Sofas. Eines war unter dem Sofa. Die Kinder waren davon begeistert und schliefen gut. Im Schlafzimmer gibt es zwei zusammengeschobene Einzelbetten, was im Ausland oft so ist. Wir haben Ameisen gesehen. Wenn man das aber an der Rezeption erwähnt, bekommt man ein Spray, das die Ameisen vertreibt. Ach ja, der Haarföhn. Wenn Sie zuhause einen haben, nehmen Sie den mit. Sie werden das verstehen, wenn Sie ihn sehen. Er ist in Ordnung, aber wenn Sie wie ich lange Haare haben, steht man lange da. Falls wir wiederkommen, werde ich meinen Haarföhn mitnehmen. Insgesamt ein toller Urlaub mit unseren Freunden und den neuen Freunden, die wir in dieser fantastischen Anlage getroffen haben. Wir erkunden gerne jedes Jahr ein neues Ziel. Deshalb würden wir wahrscheinlich nicht wiederkommen. Wenn man die Entscheidung den Kindern überlassen hätte, wären wir nicht abgereist. Wir wissen alle, dass wir glücklich sind, wenn die Kinder es sind!! Sie werden hier einen tollen Urlaub verleben. Glauben Sie mir.

Bin letzten Donnerstag zurückgekommen und vermisse es. Die Ferienanlage war fantastisch, viel Essen und Auswahl und sogar die Leute, die sehr wählerisch waren konnten was finden. Wir hatten alles inklusive gebucht und nachdem wir die Kritiken gelesen hatten, ware wir etwas besorgt, war aber kein Problem. Die Kinder fanden die Pommes und Eiscreme toll und mein Mann und Vater fanden den Alkohol gut! Meine einzige Kritik ist, dass die Pools alle eine Tiefe hatten, was recht tief war für meine Kinder. Palya Blanca ist schön und man kann Alkohol und Zigaretten billig kaufen. Wir haben den U-Boot Ausflug mitgemacht, was fantastisch war und sein Geld wert war. Die Zimmermädchen haben sich sehr bemüht alles frisch, sauber und aufgeräumt zu halten. Würden definitiv wiederkommen.

Zahlten 110 Euro für 2 Wochen Urlaub über 1st Choice... War total beeindruckt von der Anlage, wunderschöner Strand, fanden ein schönes Restaurant direkt am Meer, "Sun City", 3-Gänge-Gericht (einschließlich 1/2 Kilo Steak) und ein Glas Wein oder Bier etc. für insgesamt 9 Euro... Einzige Beschwerde - unser Zimmer Nr. 420 war von Flöhen befallen :(, sodass wir in Nr. 426 überwechselten. Keine Ahnung, wo die herkamen, denn das Hotel war sehr sauber... Waren begeistert von Lanzarote, kommen definitiv zurück.

Stimme der letzten Bewertung zu, komme gerade aus dem Sun Tropical zurück und es war so viel besser, als ich es mir vorgestellt habe. Haben im Mango Block in der Nähe aller Pools gewohnt, die Putzfrauen waren freundlich, die Reiseleiter klasse und wir hatten eine tolle Zeit. Die Thalllassobehandlungen im Pool des Sun Island neben an waren klasse...hatten ein Angebot erwischt und jede Minute davon genossen.

Acabamos de regresar después de haber pasado unas vacaciones de dos semanas allí. El hotel fue fantástico. El personal fue servicial, y los representantes fueron muy buenos. Tenían tanta paciencia, y cuando les preguntamos cómo lograban estar tan contentos todo el tiempo, nos dijeron que era porque les encantaba su trabajo. ¡Se veía! La comida, en nuestra opinión, estuvo buena, aunque una gente sí se quejó. No sé que creían que iban a encontrar. Mi único comentario sería que no hubo tanta selección. En el menú de niños, principalmente había hamburguesas, croquetas de pollo, y patatas fritas. Pero nuestros hijos a menudo pidieron algo de la sección de adultos, y les encantó. Por lo general, verdaderamente le recomendaría este lugar a cualquier persona con hijos.

Finalmente, solo hay una queja. Durante la reunión de bienvenida, nos dijeron que no permitirían que la gente se guardara las tumbonas, y que la gerencia quitaría las toallas. Nos hospedamos en el Sun Tropical dos noches, y nos encantó. Nuestros dos hijos verdaderamente disfrutaron del taller de fútbol. Pero tienes que defender tu posición. La seguridad fue estupenda. Los representantes estuvieron bien divertidos, y disfrutamos de algunos de los juegos. A los niños también les encantó el entretenimiento del domo. Sin embargo, el ruido era terrible, y al final estuve contenta de no tener que volver a escucharlo. El pueblo de Playa Blanca es muy bonito. Las tiendas son más de lo mismo, pero los restaurantes estaban muy bien, y fue hermoso sentarse a ver los ferry llegar. Por lo general, el lugar era bonito, y estaba limpio. Las piscinas eran geniales, e hizo mucho sol.
